Our Good-for-You Fabric Swatches are a simple way to experience the texture, weight, softness, stretch, and feel of fabrics from Organic Fabric Company before choosing fabric by the yard.

Fabric Discovery Pack

Curious about natural fabrics and thoughtfully selected textiles, but not quite sure where to begin?

The Fabric Discovery Pack includes five preselected fabric swatches designed to help you feel the differences between some of the fabric types we regularly carry at Organic Fabric Company:

Cotton poplin · Flannel · Cotton/linen blend · Cotton muslin · Interlock knit

Feel the smooth, crisp hand of poplin. Compare it with soft, brushed flannel. Notice the texture of a cotton and linen blend, the airy simplicity of muslin, and the soft stretch of an interlock knit.

Think of it as a tiny fabric lesson you can hold in your hands.

Custom Fabric Swatches

Already found a fabric you love but want to see and feel it at home before ordering yardage?

Choose the Custom Fabric Swatches option and leave the exact product name or product names in the order notes.

You may request up to four custom fabric samples per order.

Custom swatches are subject to fabric availability. Because our inventory can sell quickly, we cannot guarantee that every requested fabric will still be available when your sample order is prepared.

Bundles and end-of-bolt fabrics are excluded from custom sample requests.

Why order fabric samples?

Fabric swatches can help you compare texture, weight, stretch, drape, color, and overall feel before purchasing fabric online.

Rub them between your fingers. Hold them up to the light. Give them a little crumple. Compare one fabric with another.

This is the part of fabric shopping the internet can't quite give you.

Whether you're exploring natural fabrics for the first time, searching for cotton fabric for a sewing project, or simply trying to decide between a few beautiful options, our fabric samples let you experience the fabric at home before choosing your yardage.

Fabric swatches are cut from our current inventory and are subject to availability.

Specific custom samples cannot be guaranteed, as fabrics may sell out before a sample order is prepared. Bundles and end-of-bolt fabrics are not available as custom samples.

Sample orders are non-refundable.
