What is GOTS?

It looks at the entire journey of a textile—from the field where the fiber is grown to the final fabric in your hands.
For a fabric to be GOTS certified:

The fibers are grown without synthetic pesticides or GMOs

Harmful chemicals and toxic dyes are not allowed in processing

Water and energy use are carefully managed

Workers are treated fairly, with safe conditions and proper wages
GOTS also requires full traceability, meaning the fabric can be tracked from beginning to end.
In simple terms, GOTS is about purity, responsibility, and honoring every step of the process.
What is OEKO-TEX®?
While GOTS focuses on how a fabric is grown and made, OEKO-TEX® focuses on what’s in the fabric when it reaches you.
The most common label you’ll see is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is considered safe for human health.
This includes checking for things like:
